Kyra Zagorsky has been a professional actor on regional stages across the US, and in Film & TV since 1998. She is also an experienced acting teacher and an emerging writer and director. She holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from the University of California, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre from Southern Oregon University and a Master of Arts in Film and Television Production from the Savannah College of Art and Design where she received the Honors and Achievement award. She studied voice and speech under Katherine Fitzmaurice, Dudley Knight and Phil Thompson. Kyra taught advanced professional acting preparation, voice & speech as well as movement for actors at the University of California. Her approach to actor training is to connect the actor’s voice to their body through scene work, voice exercises and character intension. She specializes in teaching Standard American speech to native English speakers and to those for whom English is a second language. She also works as a private acting and dialect coach for working professionals of all ages.
Patrick Sabongui is the Head of the BFA Acting Program at Brooklyn College (City University of New York). He is also a professional actor, stunt performer and teacher with over 150 professional film/tv credits. He holds a Master’s Degree in Acting from the University of California, a BFA in Drama in Education from Concordia University in Montreal and has completed the Masters Acting Intensive at the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver, CO.
Patrick taught Acting, Movement and Voice & Speech for several years at the University of California, and has taught in private acting schools in the USA and Canada. He also continues to work as an independent acting coach for aspiring and experienced professionals. The focus of his teaching is to encourage actors to find Truth and conviction in their acting and to help these artists find their unique voice and realize their potential.
